Dear Survivor, Advocate, and Friend—
This isn’t a polished post. It’s not a deep reflection or a grand announcement. It’s simply a check-in—from a hospital bed, no less.Right now, I’m receiving a blood exchange, part of the ongoing care my body requires as a sickle cell warrior. And even though my body is here on IVs, my spirit is stirring with purpose, my mind with gratitude and quiet reflection. I couldn’t let another day pass without reaching out.Because I promised I’d show up—imperfectly, honestly, and consistently—even if gently. So here I am.No glamor. Just grit. Just grace.
What I Want You to Know
Since my last post, I’ve remained quiet—not because I’ve returned to hiding, but because healing is still happening.
Sometimes, showing up looks like being still.
Sometimes, it looks like choosing rest over routine.
But it never means the journey has stopped.
If you’re in a season where showing up looks different than expected, you’re not alone.
You’re not behind. You’re not broken.
You’re being rebuilt in ways the world can’t see yet.
A Glimpse Behind the Scenes
Between motherhood, ongoing health treatments, and the sacred work of rebuilding my platform, I’ve had to slow down. My body is asking for restoration, and I’m learning to honor that—not as weakness, but as wisdom.
Before, all I knew was to push through—all in the name of survival.
Before, stillness meant mind racing, overthinking, anxiety-inducing thoughts.
But now, I’m allowing stillness to become a spiritual practice.
A space where God meets me gently, not urgently.
With an upcoming medical procedure on the horizon, I’m being extra intentional about how I pace myself—mentally, spiritually, and physically.
And here’s what I’ve learned again this week:
Purpose doesn’t pause just because the body needs rest.
Sometimes, purpose gets even clearer in the stillness. What’s Next
There’s so much more to share—updates, plans, resources, and stories I’m preparing for you. But for today, I just wanted to say:
I’m still here.
Still healing.
Still building.
Still saying yes—even from the hospital.Thank you for being here with me.
And if you’re in a hard place right now too…
I pray this post meets you there and reminds you:Your delays do not disqualify you. You’re being refined in them.
Let’s keep walking—slow, sacred, and strong.
